The Charity Gala Evening was a great success on Saturday night.
Chris, Gina, Sarah, Tony, Andrew and Cliff joined me as we performed as the Vibrant Ukulele Orchestra whilst Gina, Cliff, Leigh, and Lawrence joined me as the Vibrant Velvet Band.
Thanks also to Benny who provided the PA system.
Final amount raised from the event will be confirmed soon but is likely to be a little over £1000.
Well done to everyone who supported the evening by coming or donating money or raffle prizes.

Hi everyone – hope you’re all well and enjoying the summer sunshine.
Hope you haven’t hidden your ukuleles away for the summer – there are so many songs in our songbook – just pick a song you like and practice it – play it a few times and then try to play it without looking at the music 😊
Or maybe try writing your own song – we’ll see who has done that when we meet again in September.
As for me, I think I’m now fully recovered from the pneumonia I had but need more physio on my leg which is still weak and the reason I had the fall down the stairs.
I’m also busy rehearsing with some other members of our ukulele club for the Charity Gala Concert on Saturday 4th October which is looking exciting – we’ve got a number of acts lined up to entertain, a dance band, ‘red carpet’ photo and glass of bubbly on arrival – have you booked your ticket yet?
Remember it’s our fundraising effort for the church and our local St Raphael’s Hospice so maybe you think £30 a ticket is expensive but without fundraising our church won’t survive ….
Anyway tickets are now available and starting to sell so if you want me to reserve you one or two let me know so I’ll keep them for you – it’s one night only and they’re limited so don’t miss out.

We called you both yesterday but got no response.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for the lovely evening we had on Saturday with you.
The evening was wonderful hearing the Ukulele players and their lovely singing. They seem a very dedicated lot. Happy you are a member and Hope and pray you will soon be able to play your Ukulele.
So now you are going out you will be able to come to us ok . Let us know which day you can come.
