Just a quick word to say ''Thank You" for the lovely evening we all enjoyed at the Wells Estate Community Centre shared with members of your community and friends.
As a little gift to remember your first party, I have put together some photos and video clips attached to a page titled 'Wells Centre Get-together party'.
Special thanks to the musicians who kindly provided their support with the entertainment as listed below.
(1) The lovely family Cello group "Epsom Strings"
Your team were great and would be well featured on Variety Concerts, Corporate Events and Hi-society Dinner dances. (Have suggestions to make later).
(2) Steve Wicks "Vibrant Ukulele Club" Group.
Steve Wicks needs no intro. Well known across the country and never fails to provide first class entertainment. Steve has a mega following and does great supporting many charities. I am proud to be a member of Steve's Ukulele club where we meet every Monday evenings. Very special thanks to Steve Wicks group who provided first class entertainment as always, with a super mix of tunes.
(3) Two Mauritian Sisters Carmen and Tilasha.
Thank you sisters for your performance. Sorry band leader, your dad was not well and could not support your singing. We were not prepared to give you the best backing.
(4) Lawrence & Co - Clive, Lawrence & Benny).
Last moment make-shift trio. I was asked by my good friend Lawrence to support Pina playing a musical set. My daughter Lisette is my lead singer but was not available. Thanks to my son-in-law for supporting me with Lawrence on Sax.
To conclude, special thanks goes to you Pina for all your hard work organising the first community social at the Wells Centre, and thanks for providing all the lovely food and drinks everyone enjoyed.
We must not forget to thank Vanessa who runs and manages the Wells centre for giving us the use of the hall.
Last and not least, special thanks to all members and guests who supported your event. With their support you can continue to host further social events with much entertainment coming from members of your local community with the motto as you briefly said to me ..... to have "Our Community Coming Together" would be your desire. Your bubbly personality and drive is wonderful. I wish you all the best.
It is very good you have Lawrence to support you as he too has much drive and is a great music lover always ready to sing and play is Saxophone.
